Keemun and Lapsang black teas

This interesting tea is believed to have originated from 18th century camel caravans that transported teas along the Silk Road for the transcontinental tea trade from areas such as China and India to Europe through Russia. Ukranian Caravan is a traditional blend of lapsang souchong and keemun black teas. The deep flavor is full bodied and has a touch of sweet malty undertones. Although flavorful, it is smooth and mellow, so it is easy to enjoy Ukrainian Caravan tea any time. Add in the number of health benefits this tea offers, and you'll want to make this black tea from Capital Teas your everyday staple.

(NOTE: This product has been renamed in protest of Russia's unprovoked, illegal and unethical assault on Ukraine. We stand with the Ukrainian people against Russian tyranny. We urge the Russian people to remove Vladimir Putin, who is a war criminal, from his position as their leader.)

Brewing Instructions (per each 6 oz. of water):

Health Benefits:

  • Great Source of antioxidants, which have been shown to lower the risk of heart disease
  • Black tea has been shown to reduce cholesterol
  • May be a mentally stimulating beverage

love the name change Glory to Ukraine, I bought 2 tins of this tea on a visit to your shop (thanks to my niece) years ago. Drank all of one tin and guess the 2nd tin got lost in the cupboard, found it recently and just finished it. Love the smokiness and will love it even more now.

    Great for a Tea Punch

We use this twice a year as the 'weak' base for our Tiki Party punch (One of sour, two of sweet, three of strong, four of weak )

I love this full-bodied black tea. It has a really unique smokey taste. For me, it reminds me of a summer camping trip up in the mountains sitting around a campfire and sipping a nice cup of flavorful tea.

    Just as I remembered

Posted by Anonymous on Jun 28th 2019

Years ago I enjoyed a cup of a similar blend in a tea shop and it was the perfect antidote to an oncoming cold. For years I searched. My husband found yours while on a trip. This was my second order online. All batches tasted the same and were just great. I don't know what will fight colds now that you are discontinuing it!

Woodfire scent. Need one of these smokey teas

Posted by Lisa Claflin on Dec 18th 2015

I like the smokey teas because they have the scent of woodfire and that's always kind of fabulous and ancient. In a small glass Russian tea glass it is quite special. In a mug with milk also special. I'll be keeping this on hand.
