Milk Oolong owes its distinct character to the unique growing conditions of its native province, where drastic temperature variations throughout the season impart an unparalleled depth and richness to the leaves. Love this tea. I can’t drink it every day though, it’s something to savor on occasion.

    first order

Posted by Christine on Jul 31st 2017

My local Sarasota store just closed so I ordered my milk oolong online. I absolutely love this tea. I was asked to pick 3 samples of other teas and I only received one. Not a big deal but was curious why I had not received all three.

    Recently purchased Milk Oolong

Posted by Terry Glancy on Apr 2nd 2017

This is a pretty good oolong with a clean flavor, nice echo in the mouth, and a smooth "milky" coating. I used 7.0 grams in 210 ml @ 96 C. The 4th steeping was beginning to lose some of the flavor, but still satisfying - which is pretty good for a lightly oxidized oolong. The steepings were fairly short (10 seconds for the initial steep after a very brief rinse & then 15 second follow-up steepings). The website info says China as the source, but it seems to me to be more on the Taiwanese flavor profile. Seems to be machine harvested with mostly broken leaves and some petioles and smaller stems, but clean on it's infusions. I would recommend it (we bought 1#) initially. Overall = very nice.

    Best tea

Yes, its expensive but well worth it. I would especially recommend this Mil Oolong to the tea purist, meaning you like tea as tea not infused with all kinds of things or with milk/sugar/honey/etc, the tea purist will love this tea. I do on occasion re-steep cups-but like another reviewer stated ......to me it's just not the same as the first one.

    Best tasting tea

Posted by Brandi Puglise on Nov 19th 2016

I have always been the black tea in a pouch kind of person. Then I started to read all the benefits of oolong tea and decided to try it. This is the first tea that I do not have to add any sweetener to. I really like the taste. I went into a store first to try due to the price. The staff was very helpful and nice especially since I was so new to loose teas. They were very patient. I have since ordered more online and again the customer service and speed were great. I am a capital tea fan for good now.

    A Very Nice Milk

Posted by Anonymous on Nov 14th 2016

I got this one at their Charlottesville store. Went there especially to get this and was very pleased it was brewed as a sample day that day. Dry tea is extremely fragrant. Much more so than a mail order one I got from a tea merchant in San Fran. Brewed cup did not disappoint. Very sweet buttery flavor with floral overtones. Maintains as it cools in your cup. A true test of a natural quality Jin Xuan Milk is keeping that flavor through subsequent steepings. It does that well. I used 4 grams in 8oz bottled neutral ph water. 190 for 3 minutes in a Tease infuser. If you want to do extra steepings, start off with 2 minutes for your first one if using a teapot style. I don't do Gaiwan so follow your own time and strength to get the best results if using that style.

    A great oolong

Creamy & smooth. My favorite oolong, hands down. A little pricey but totally worth it -- and you can steep it about 5 times per cup!

    What a treat!

This tea is pricey, and worth it. I haven't had as much luck with multiple brews, but I really love the first one.

    Comforting!

This is a really fragrant tea that smells delicious! The first steep was good, but the second steep was even better. I am glad this a natural milk oolong and not a flavored one.
