The next best thing to a title

Posted by Ann Schwartz on May 28th 2013

This is an elegant tea and true to its ingredients. I liked the rose bud essence, but wish it had been a little less assertive as it acted more like a queen than a lady in waiting. Even so, it was delicious.

Given as part of a gift

Recipient loves it. The blend of teas and hint of cream has claimed another fan. I enjoy it without any cream or sugar, however the recipient uses a dash of cream and says it is a mellow treat.

    becoming a quick favorate!

Posted by Anonymous on Dec 2nd 2012

This has quickly become one of my favorite teas! It is smooth and has soft vanilla flavors. Although some have mentioned that they steep at 175, I currently steep this at 195 F, and leave the leaves in the teapot until I’m finished drinking the tea.

    Watch the Twigs!

Posted by Larry McUlster on Sep 11th 2012

This early grey has a pleasant aroma, bright liquor, medium body. I really enjoyed the first batch and the lighter notes held up until the tin was empty. I went for a second batch and I received what looked more like the forest floor than a proper earl grey. Capital Teas needs to find some way to minimize the stems in this. Why are customers left to fish out the twigs just to make a single serving? Request yours-- light on the stems please.

    LOVING this commemorative blend

Posted by LiberTEAS on Jul 13th 2012

Im LOVING this commemorative blend. I was a bit unsure about it at first, as it is a blend with both black and white teas and I sometimes find these to be a bit disagreeable because the white tea needs a lower temperature which doesnt always do the black tea justice. However, I find that just enough of the black tea flavor comes through here and its lighter flavor helps the white tea to shine through. The sharp, tangy flavor of the bergamot is softened by the sweet, creamy flavor of vanilla in the blend, and I find that the rose in the blend accentuates the bergamot, bringing the floral tones of this citrus fruit into focus. A very pleasant blend, I like it very much. Via Steepster: http://bit.ly/OkqEtY (February 16, 2012)

    Neat blend

Posted by TeaEqualsBliss on Jul 13th 2012

Special Thanks to LiberTEAs for this! I have been wanting to try this one!!! I actually did try it a few times last week and enjoyed it but didnt have enough time to properly jot down tasting notes. So here we go. I can smell the cream! It infuses to a medium brown color. For taste…I can pick out the Earl Grey Flavors and the bergamot…it’s not the astringent bergamot kind of taste but more of a lemon and orange combo of bergamot. There is a hint of cream but the black and white tea flavors stomp on the cream hints a bit. Im ok with that. The Rose and other floral flavors are fairly loud, too. It being a Royal Wedding Blend the ingredients make sense and seem to blend well together and the extra ingredients make it special, too. The perfume-type aroma edges towards the floral bouquets surrounding the ceremony as they do in this tea. Neat blend of teas and flavors. I appreciate this very much! What a lovely tea it is!

Posted by SororiTea Sisters on Jul 13th 2012

One year ago today, there was a wedding that captured the attention of millions around the world. This tea was created to commemorate that occasion, and what a lovely tea it is! Because the tea base is a blend of both black and white teas, I opted for a fairly low brewing temperature (175 F) and a brewing time of 4 minutes in my Breville one-touch. The results is a tea that is rich and creamy in flavor, where I can taste both types of tea as well as the tangy bergamot, the touches of cream and even the hint of rose. The black tea flavor is much softer than one might expect from a black tea, a consequence from not only the lower brewing temperature, but also from the addition of white tea leaves in the blend. The black tea doesnt taste bold or strong, exactly, but the black tea does offer a certain richness to the blend that is quite nice...
