5. Did you prefer the pure, unadulterated tea leaves?
Their white tea "indicator" was Silver Yin Zhen Pearls, a pure silver needle white tea leaf that was tied in to pearls. The essence of which was Silver Needle Tea Leaf. Ours is an organic, pure Silver Needle White Tea Leaf. High in antioxidants, it is naturally cleansing for the body.
Their green tea indicator was a Japanese shade-grown tea leaf which they referred to as Gyokuro Imperial. Ours is an Organic Gyokuro from Japan. High in chlorophyll content, it has a very high level of EGCG and catechin antioxidants.
For Oolong, they served Monkey Picked Oolong. Though it was not actually picked by monkeys, it was a high quality Chinese Ti Kuan Yin Oolong tea leaf. For the same smooth orchid flavor and digestive aid, try our Organic Slimming Oolong.
Last but certainly not least: the black tea indicator! Though Teavana never emphasized their black teas, and preferred that customers buy from their white and green selection, Golden Monkey was certainly a treat. A truly gorgeous, full-bodied black tea with both leaf and bud, it had a sweet cocoa and caramel tone. For a replacement? Of course, we carry an Organic Golden Monkey that will surely satisfy even the most discerning black tea lover.
We hate to see them go, but we love to watch them leaf. ;)
