5 Teavana Tea Alternatives: Capital Teas Blends That Can Replace Teavana Faves
Missing your favorite Teavana tea?
We are here to help! Here are five Teavana alternatives:
1. If you loved Teavana’s Youthberry and Wild Orange Blossom Try: Capital Teas’ Berry Youthful blended with Island Mango
The Youthberry blended with Wild Orange Blossom has been the #1 tea on the sample cart outside of Teavana stores for a decade. If this Teavana bestseller was your favorite, don’t fret! Capital Teas’ Berry Youthful can be blended with Island Mango to recreate the refreshingly light berry and citrus flavor that you love. What’s even better? Capital Teas’ Berry Youthful has a high-quality mao feng tea leaf base, which is the purest form of white tea you can get! The Island Mango will be a bit more naturally sweet than the Wild Orange Blossom, thanks to the mango pieces.
For those days when you’re craving something with just the right balance of sweet and tart flavors, a good fruit-based herbal tea blend is essential. Brewed iced, this caffeine-free blend was super refreshing. What can you brew instead? You may find yourself hooked on Capital Teas’ Lemon Drop once you’ve tried it iced. To add some extra fruity flavor, blend it with Organic Citrus Burst. This zesty combo rocks! 5. Did you prefer the pure, unadulterated tea leaves?
The final tea is actually four teas in one. Teavana had teas that they referred to as "indicators." These teas were the highest quality, pure tea in each of the four tea categories.
Their white tea "indicator" was Silver Yin Zhen Pearls, a pure silver needle white tea leaf that was tied in to pearls. The essence of which was Silver Needle Tea Leaf. Ours is an organic, pure Silver Needle White Tea Leaf. High in antioxidants, it is naturally cleansing for the body.
Their green tea indicator was a Japanese shade-grown tea leaf which they referred to as Gyokuro Imperial. Ours is an Organic Gyokuro from Japan. High in chlorophyll content, it has a very high level of EGCG and catechin antioxidants.
For Oolong, they served Monkey Picked Oolong. Though it was not actually picked by monkeys, it was a high quality Chinese Ti Kuan Yin Oolong tea leaf. For the same smooth orchid flavor and digestive aid, try our Organic Slimming Oolong.
Last but certainly not least: the black tea indicator! Though Teavana never emphasized their black teas, and preferred that customers buy from their white and green selection, Golden Monkey was certainly a treat. A truly gorgeous, full-bodied black tea with both leaf and bud, it had a sweet cocoa and caramel tone. For a replacement? Of course, we carry an Organic Golden Monkey that will surely satisfy even the most discerning black tea lover.
We hate to see them go, but we love to watch them leaf. ;)
